CareyLowell started acting when she appeared in Dangerously Close. She then was a part-time actress as Club Paradise's Assistant District Attorney Jamie Ross. 4 She progressed to other roles, including co-starring with Bond girl Pam Bouvier in the James Bond film Licence to Kill (1989) and, starting in 1996, as Assistant District Attorney Jamie Ross for two seasons on the tv drama Law & Order, a role she reprised in 2005 to play a guest character in its spinoff, Law & Order: Trial by Jury, and also on the original series in 2022 when it returned to a 21st season. In the immediate time before landing the role she was frustrated with her acting career and had applied to study documentary filmmaking at New York University. [4] In the late 2000s the actress was off acting. In 2012, Lowell lent her likeness and voice to reprise her Licence to Kill role in the video game 007 Legends. In 2018 she returned to television, appearing as an actress on the show Blue Bloods. [7][8] Personal life Lowell was married three times. John Stember was her first husband. She was married to him between 1984 and 1988. [9][10] From 1989 until 1995, she was married to actor Griffin Dunne. She has a daughter, Hannah. [citation needed] Lowell was married to Richard Gere in November 2002 [11] following the birth of their son Homer James Jigme Gere. After 11 years of marriage, they split in September of 2013. The couple was involved in an extremely contentious divorce process in New York Supreme Court for three years. The case was resolved in October 2016. [13]

Then in 1991 she headed to Indianapolis where she began reporting for WISH-TV's 11PM newscast and anchored the CBS affiliate's newscast at 5:30PM together with her colleague Scott Swan. Tiernon worked as a newscaster at WLWT-TV, Cincinnati Ohio from 2000 to 2004. She was the anchor of the 5:06 and 11 p.m. broadcasts with veteran news anchor Dave Wagner. Tiernon is an Emmy-winning journalist and has been a reporter on both significant and minor news stories over her professional career.
