Lars Mikkelsen-1Lars Dittmann Mikkelsen was born 6 May 1964. He has appeared as Copenhagen mayoral candidate Troels Hartmann in the drama series The Killing. Charles Augustus Magnussen in the third series of Sherlock and the Russian president Viktor Petrov in the American House of Cards on Netflix, and Grand Admiral Thrawn in Star Wars Rebels. He received the Reumert Prize of Honour in 2011, aged of 27. In 1995, he graduated to the National Theatre School of Denmark. Apart from his performance in The Killing, [1] He also appeared in Borgen III, a Danish drama series that was critically acclaimed. He also played a central role in an episode of BBC drama Sherlock as the blackmailer, Charles Augustus Magnussen.In the American television series House of Cards, he played the role of President Russia. In 2018, he was awarded an International Emmy Award. His role in Danish TV drama Herrens Veje won him an International Emmy Award. The show was broadcast in the UK in 2019 as Ride Upon the Storm.
