Amal Clooney

Amal Alamuddin Clooney grew up in Beirut, Lebanon. She was given the Arabic name'ml amal which means "hope". The young girl was only 2 when her family moved to Buckinghamshire from Lebanon during the Lebanese Civil War. 10] Her father Ramzi Alamuddin, a Lebanese Druze from the Alam al-Din dynasty village of Baakline in the Chouf district,[11was awarded an MBA degree at the American University of Beirut. In 1991, he returned Lebanon in 1991 [12][13] shortly after the close of the civil conflict. Her mother, Baria (nee Miknass), was born to a family of Sunni Muslims in Tripoli in Northern Lebanon,[14][11] and a Palestinian-Jordanian[15] mother. She worked as a journalist for the political side and foreign editor for the Saudi-owned newspaper al-Hayat. She was also the creator of International Communication Experts. The business, which is part of a larger company, specializes in booking famous guests and publicity photos, as well as advertising for events, and more. 17. Amal has three siblings including one sibling (Tala) as well as two half brothers from her father's first marriage. Amal studied at Dr Challoner's high school in Little Chalfont Buckinghamshire before going to university. After that, she went to St Hugh's College at Oxford where, among other things she was awarded the Shrigley Award and an exhibition grant. She received an honorary bachelor of Arts in Judiciary (BA) in the year 2000. In the following year she was accepted into New York University School of Law to earn graduation with a Master of Laws Degree (LL.M). The award she received was the Jack J. Katz Memorial Award to recognize excellence in entertainment law.While studying at NYU she spent one semester in the office of Sonia Sotomayor, then a judge for the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and NYU Law faculty participant.
