Stephanie Sigman is a Mexican American actress. Her debut role was in the film Miss Bala, a Mexican crime drama film Miss Bala. Also, she was in Pioneer (2013) and Spectre (2015). Sigman was the main character in Narcos (2015), S.W.A.T. (2017) and the second season of both of the series. Sigman was born to a Mexican mother and an American father, Lee Sigman, who is a New York Yankees scout. By virtue of her father, she's the daughter of a U.S. citizen. She is a U.S. citizen through her father. His brother, the baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman married actress Barbara Mori Sigman. Before making her debut in film in Rio de Oro, she began her career as Mexican TV actor. She played the main character in Laura Guerrero (Miss Bala) in the Mexican crime drama. [6] The film was nominated for the Mexican entry in the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 84th Academy Awards.[7][8However, it was not on the final list. 9 Sigman was nominated for a Dublin Film Critics' Circle Award in 2011 for her performance in the film. [10][11] She starred in the Canadian documentary Flight of the Butterflies the next year. In 2013, Sigman co-starred in the Norwegian thriller Pioneer
