Anna Paquin was born in Winnipeg and raised in Wellington. She began her acting career as Flora McGrath in her character in the romance film The Piano. Paquin also had a role of Queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's 1997 film Amistad. She played teenage girls in of Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000) and portrayed the Polexia Aphrodisa girl on the screen in Almost Famous (2000).
