Taylor

Taylor Swift has become a uncommon pop sensation: A superstar who crossed over completely from traditional music into pop culture, becoming an iconic pop star that is set to endure forever, and sweeping over everywhere. Swift left country music like it was an additional layer of herself, proving that she is perhaps the best pop-singer/songwriter in her generation. One who can harness the zeitgeist to make it personal as well as perform in the opposite. Swift's first hits, particularly the neo celebration of Tim McGraw, showed off her skills. The album from 2008 Fearless revealed a songwriter who was beginning to discover herself, and gaining a huge following. Fearless became an enormous success not just in America with the Top Ten singles Love Story, and You Belong with Me helped it to break six platinum records but also around the world. It was a huge success throughout Canada Australia as well as the U.K. Swift's second album Speak Now, released almost two years after the first one, consolidated this success. It helped propel Swift to the heights of fame. The popularity of Swift only grew with her following three albums -- Red (2012) 1989 (2014) as well as Reputation (2017) Reputation (2017) which saw her move into a realm of pop music that she had already been a part of. It was not long before she altered her plan with 2020's pared-down siblings the folk singer (and Evermore) and stayed atop of the pop world.
